I woke up on a beautiful Saturday morning and headed for the briefing for coastal clean up. Yup. Nikki Ye, Yiuyan and I will be going to Pulau Ubin (Chek Jawa) to be site buddies for coastal clean up on 19th Sept (Saturday). In case you have no idea about what is coastal clean up, this is the link to the website.

Basically, we go down as data collector. Take note! We are not Rag & Bone aka Karang Guni fellow. So we go down to collect trash, categorize it, count it, and at the end, data will be collated by the organizer. Wah! Sounds kinda fun :)I believe this will be a pleasant experience (hopefully it is really one).
What is more amazing to me is the fact that Singapore consistent involvement in this kind of environmental friendly campaign/activities. To be frank, I dun see many of this activities in Malaysia. Perhaps, one may argue that it is easier to get it done in Singapore bacause Singapore is such a small country. I do admit that Singapore is really SMALL. But, what matter more is probably the intiative to put ideas into real plan and get the society to involve in it. In fact, I am flooded with emails asking for participation in Coastal CLean up, Earth Hour, Asian Youth Energy Summit etc. How can one not be more environmentally concious when this kind of info is everywhere?
OK!Something light!
I think my friends loveeeee to feed me food. I am never really lack of food. This is probably a good news. HAHAHAA. My student gave me 1 tin of very very nice cream wafer as Teacher's day present. Picture as below:
Tidbits from new neighbour, Angeline:
Had a small piece of airflown Peiking Duck. On and off there is always tidbits, biscuits from hallmates, classmates etc. Totally going to get fat!
More random stuff. Aunties love to talk to me. Canteen aunty, cleaner aunty, photocopy shop aunty etc. WHY? I dunno why! Maybe I have a likeable face (if there is such word). Thick skin indeed. Haha... Or perhaps, they think I will really listen to what they are talking about? But well, sometimes, we might be able to gain valuable info, eg. which supermarket sells cheaper stuff, which market better etc.
