Do we miss out something while growing older?

Aren't we supposed to be more wise, more interactive, more confident while growing older?
How come I just doesn't feel that way?

I used to be able to engage in some interactive conversation easily. But, this doesn't seem to be the case recently. We used to be able to talk, laugh, and get along well. However, for the past few weeks, it has just been a "Hi-and-Bye" conversation. What has went wrong? I tried not to be so cold but your response is far too disappointing. Maybe I am expecting too much.

As years pass by, the idea of orientation is getting dreadful. I used to believe that we can get to know new friends through orientation. Yes! It still works! But, now, it seems to be a situation of "Good-friends-during-orientation" and "Hi-Bye-After-that". I am starting to dislike the idea of putting up the most friendly front during orientation. Well, I try to be nice, friendly, but not as much as what I used to be. Perhaps, this is why I heard comments of me being "Cold".

An interesting story about me. Few juniors commented that I look "Strict, stern" while interviewing them. They got quite scared by me. Well, I cant help it. I need to be "strict" to make sure that they take things seriously. However, they are pretty surprised to realize that I am actually a "fun and friendly" person after knowing me for some time. I guess it is not that bad after all.

Okok! Be nice, smile more =)
